'Good' and 'Evil'?

I was thinking over something the other day, a comic i was reading inspired me...

When you play a game or such, you end up with two sides, 'good' and 'evil', now... how do you define good?
Good is there, standing up for what is best for them, whether it be ridding the world of evil, or such. But then again, aren't 'evil' doing exactly the same? They're just protecting the way they live and how they survive, if we were in their situation then we'd feel exactly the same as we would now.
when you look at wars, sure, some are about wanting to conquer land and such, but then there are wars over religion, over views and what the people stand up for, these wars have no good or bad, only sides who stand up for what they think is right and i think there's nothing wrong with what they are doing, the only 'evil' in the situation is the war, killing people for your own sake, or giving up on what you think is right.

So what do you guys think?
Also, if people don't comment on this i'll know i'm not popular X_x
